How billing works — InTO Translation

Billing is per character, in two stages: your plan's quota first, then the wallet. Here is the calculation behind it, with a worked example.

Two stages

Billing is per character of plain text (formatting data does not count):

Your plan’s quota first. While it lasts, the translation is covered by the monthly fee.
Whatever goes beyond it comes from the wallet — at your plan’s overflow rate.

The calculation

remaining quota   = monthly quota − characters already used
from the quota    = min(remaining quota, characters in the document)
from the wallet   = characters in the document − from the quota
cost              = from the wallet × rate per 1 000 characters (rounded up)

Worked example

Pro plan: 480 000 of the 500 000 characters are used, and the document has 30 000 characters.

from the quota: 20 000 characters → €0.00
from the wallet: 10 000 characters × €0.05 / 1 000 = €0.50

Further rules

If the balance is not enough, nothing is translated at all — see When the balance is not enough.
If a translation is stopped, only what was translated is charged.
Running it again translates the whole open document once more — including the part already translated — and charges again.
Without an active plan (cancelled or expired) the Free rate applies.
Prices in euros, excluding VAT.

What a run actually cost is in the translation history — each run is broken down there into the characters paid from the quota and those paid from the wallet.
